Bluff Room Sponsorship Race: current standings

As you already know, in order to become a Team Pro player, you need to qualify for our Sponsorship program first and also to advance in the monthly Sponsorhip VIP Points race. The 3 players who perform best in the race each get $1,000 to play with and become Sponsorship Pro players.

As you can imagine, there are quite a few players competing for this honour. Let’s have a look at the current race leaderboard:

The Bluff Room Sponsorship Program: your chance to become a pro

Recently, in our guide to becoming a professional poker player, we mentioned that it’s easy to become a Bluff Pro. To get there, however, you need to become a sponsored player first so let us explain how the sponsorship program works.

To begin with, every player on Bluff Room has a chance to become a sponsored player. That’s right – absolutely everyone! Once you qualify for our sponsorship, every month we will be transferring some free money into your account and will be teaching you how to manage your bankroll and improve your game.

How to become a sponsored player

Every week we host a special tournament, called The Sponsorship Final. You can join the tournament by buying in directly for $13.20, by getting an entry for 1320 VIP Points or by using a Step 3 entry coupon that you have already won or bought. Apart from the standard payout structure, The Sponsorship Final offers an additional benefit: the top 5 players in it become sponspored players and get a $60 cash bonus to play with, as well as the chance to cash in $1,000 into their account balance every month.

At that point you are already a participant in the monthly Sponsorship VIP Points Race. In order to retain your status, you need to collect at least 1,000 VIP Points in that race or win another Sponsorship Final.

Sponsorship Pro

The next step in your Bluff Room career would be becoming a Sponsored Pro. In order to do this, you need to be amongst the top 3 in the Sponsorship Race for a particular month. Sponsored Pro players receive $1,000 to play with for every month they keep their status.

A simple guide to becoming a professional poker player

Have you ever dreamed of the glamourous life of the professional poker players? We certainly have. For a beginner, though, entering the world of poker elite may seem like a hard task and this is why we present you our simple guide to becoming a poker pro:

Step 1: Start buying in for major live events. The Main Event of WSOP is a good starting point. Then start winning the events. If you don’t have to funds to buy-in, get a second mortgage on your house or sell a kidney on the black market. It may seem a bit harsh, but it’s worthy. Once in the tournament, make sure to be featured on TV. If your game itself isn’t spectacular enough, do something stupid – for example punch one of your already-famous opponents in the face for no reason. This will get you a lot of media exposure.

Step 2: Hire a team of PR and marketing experts to make you famous. They will want you to spend a fortune on marketing and advertising; if you don’t have this kind of money, sell your other kidney.

Step 3: For a while now, you have been obsessed with the goal of becoming a poker pro. This has influenced your job badly and you have most probably been sacked. At this point your only occupation is playing poker and acting weird in live poker tournaments, so in a way you are a professional poker player. Congratulations! You may now relax and maybe even try to become a good player, too.
